Three things you must never involve in as a christian during this Christmas season

By Pastor David Ibiyeome

The Christmas season is here again. This is one period majority of Nigerians becomes very busy to mark the occasion. But as a christian you don't need to be off guard.
There are certain things you must try to avoid in order to have a fulfilling one.

Like you always know the celebration is for a short period, at least from November ending to December, and therefore it is not wise for you to spend above your budget.

First thing you must avoid is, Unwanted expenditures.
Expenditure is an outflow of money or the amount of money spent as payment for goods or services. You should avoid buying too many gifts that are unnecessary or giving out money just to celebrate the season when there are other important needs to cater for in the coming year, such as house rent, children's school fees and other bills.

Secondly, Avoid Borrowing
Some people try to compete with others and go to the extent of borrowing things like clothes, money, and other things just to please others or celebrate the season. You should not compete with yourself because no one is competing with you.

Finally, Avoid entering next year without a plan.
Some people fail to plan for the new year they are about to enter, and as such, they spend all their savings, hoping to have more in the new year, so they pray without planning. Planning means deciding on what should be done, how and where it should be done, and who should have it done. Believers should plan with what they have and not just substitute prayer for planning with the hope of praying everything through without a mind to plan
