Sad day for government representatives at Annual youth christian festival in Lagos

Representatives of Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu were on Friday booed and castigated during the annual musical fiesta organised by House on the Rock Cathedral Lekki Lagos. 

The annual event knows as 'The Experience' had in attendance great gospel actists across the globe who always ministers to hundreds and thousands of people live.

But unfortunately the event turned into bitterness for representatives from Lagos State government as the youth humiliated them. 

The moment the special representative was invited to speak to the teaming crowd the atmosphere gone sour. From the beginning to the end the crowd booed and chants at the August guest.

This of course was a sharp reaction to the endSARS report that was partially rejected by the Lagos State government.

Recall that Sanwo-Olu in the white paper released following End SARS panel report on Lekki toll gate shooting, said that not all the recommendations in the report would be accepted.

According to him, Lagos State Government accepts 11 out of the 32 recommendations made by the JPI in its report of 15th November 2021, rejected one (1) and accepted 6 (six) with modifications.

On the deaths recorded in the judicial panel report, the white-paper committee noted that the details in the document are not enough to conclude that the victims listed in the panel’s report were killed at the Lekki tollgate.

However the Senior Pastor and founder of the church Pastor Paul Adefarasin was not the less happy with the youth attitude. He apologized to the Lagos State government, describing the attitude as unscriptural.

He cautioned youths to pray for leaders in order for peace to reign in the country.

“I must honestly caution that we must pray for those who lead us that we may dwell peacefully in the land

“You must never disrespect authority because they beat the sword.

“I apologise to the leaders of Lagos state on your behalf,” Pastor Adefarasin said
